In 2023, 20 rural women received training in goat husbandry and primary health care. Following the training, each woman was given a female goat as part of the “Empowering Women through Goat Farming—Phase III” project. This project is a collaboration between VSF-Sweden and MLAF-Bangladesh, with the objective of providing income-generating opportunities for poor, marginalized, and socially deprived women. These 20 rural women are now empowered and making significant contributions to their families.

The training process was challenging due to the women’s limited education, and conducting fieldwork was not easy. However, MLAF took on this challenge to improve animal health services and empower rural women.
